What We Grow
Microgreens are tiny, edible greens grown from the seeds of vegetables or herbs. They are harvested when they are small and scientific research shows they have higher levels of vital nutrients than their full grown counterparts. They also have a surprisingly intense flavor for their size. They are wonderful in salads, sandwiches, soups, wraps, eggs, tacos, and pasta… you can really put them on anything and they will make you feel great too!
We grow a number of varieties to sell individually and to combine to create our mixes. Some varieties we grow include pea shoots, sunflower shoots, popcorn shoots, Red Russian kale, Dwarf Blue kale, mustard, broccoli, red cabbage, arugula, Cherry Belle radish, China Rose radish, Sango radish, beet, and Swiss chard.
In addition to our main crop of microgreens, we also raise other vegetables and greens that go well in salads. We know one of the easiest ways to eat healthy is to make hardy salads but it can be tough to come up with new and creative ingredients for the lettuce heavy dish. That's why we explore inventive ways to add flavor and dimension to a salad without drowning it in dressing. Some of our favorite salad crops are Romaine lettuce, Freckled lettuce, Frisée lettuce, spinach, mustard greens, beet greens, tomatoes, carrots, carrot tops, sweet peppers, and cucumbers.
